The nursery-kindergarten was established and started its activities on January 1, 1985, as Kapsukas town nursery-kindergarten No.13. By the decision No. 41 of Marijampolė City Council on 16 March 1993, the 13th kindergarten was reorganized into Marijampolė Kindergarten-Primary School. On 2005 April 29 by decision of Marijampole Municipal Council no. 1-541, following the adoption of the new statutes of the institution, from September 1 2005, the name of the school is changed to Marijampole Mokolu school-kindergarten. Marijampole Municipal Council in 2019 May 27 by decision no. 1- 173 Marijampole Mokolu school-kindergarten is reorganized into a nursery-kindergarten "Ąžuoliukas".
